Will Neural Marketing Become A Game-Changer?

Neural marketing, which involves techniques such as fMRI (functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging) or EEG (electroencephalogram), is a hot topic in marketing. It can purportedly generate insight into consumer response to marketing variables while reducing the biases inherent in asking consumers their opinion, such as when they are not able or willing to give valid answers to questions involving perceptions, attitudes, or behavior. Further, consumers are driven in part by subconscious thoughts and emotions that neural marketing techniques can access. There are estimates that 95% of all thoughts are subconscious.

Neural marketing, in the right context, can measure variables like attention, engagement, emotion, pleasure/liking, and memory. Each of these can be an extremely relevant dependent variable of interest when testing ore valuating many marketing stimuli.

Soft War: The Ethics of Unarmed Conflict: Michael L. Gross, Tamar Meisels, Michael Walzer: 9781107584785: Amazon.com: Books

Just war theory focuses primarily on bodily harm, such as killing,
maiming, and torture, while other harms are often largely overlooked. At
the same time, contemporary international conflicts increasingly
involve the use of unarmed tactics, employing 'softer' alternatives or
supplements to kinetic power that have not been sufficiently addressed
by the ethics of war or international law.

Soft war tactics include
cyber-warfare and economic sanctions, media warfare, and propaganda, as
well as non-violent resistance as it plays out in civil disobedience,
boycotts, and 'lawfare.' While the just war tradition has much to say
about 'hard' war - bullets, bombs, and bayonets - it is virtually silent
on the subject of 'soft' war. Soft War: The Ethics of Unarmed Conflict
illuminates this neglected aspect of international conflict.

Why is it so that my 8GB ROM Android smart-phone has only 4GB available internal space? - Quora

The ROM is partitioned with different size allocation for different purposes like:-
  1. 2–3 GB for you OS as read only partition.
  2. Then you have caches
  3. Internal storage, where you normally store your files.
You can't change the allocations normally, but after gaining root access you can change them.

Fractal marketing

Fractal marketing
Fractal is "A geometric pattern that is repeated at ever smaller scales to produce irregular shapes and surfaces that cannot be represented by classical geometry. " (more). Fractal Marketing is the process by which a product or service is promoted through modern electronic media and is subsequently picked up and scattered bypotential consumers.

Viral & Fractal
Whereas viral marketing presupposes that a consumer is infected with the intended message, fractal marketing reflects that the consumer modifies the message: it's still part of the snowflake's pattern, building unique pieces of it each time.

An example of fractal marketing would be Apple's Switch campaign of 2002 and Ellen Feiss's subsequently marketed web identity. They are affiliated, they are part of the same pattern, but this outcome could not be predicted by Apple.

NOTE: a bunch of shark avatars will start a game using Fractal Marketing in drimngo with LFT-Australia (read more)

Salami slicing - Wikipedia

Salami slicing refers to a series of many small actions, often
performed by clandestine means, that as an accumulated whole produces a
much larger action or result that would be difficult or unlawful to
perform all at once. The term is typically used pejoratively.
Although salami slicing is often used to carry out illegal activities,
it is only a strategy for gaining an advantage over time by
accumulating it in small increments, so it can be used in legal ways as
well.

An example of salami slicing, also known as penny shaving, is the fraudulent practice of stealing money repeatedly in extremely small quantities, usually by taking advantage of rounding
to the nearest cent (or other monetary unit) in financial transactions.
It would be done by always rounding down, and putting the fractions of
a cent into another account. The idea is to make the change small
enough that any single transaction will go undetected
