win8 and drivers

First check your version (32 or 64 bit): http://www.fixedbyvonnie.com/2013/06/how-to-determine-if-windows-8-is-32-bit-or-64-bit-from-the-command-line/#.UpiR7tJ25Nx

Then install vmware with this workarround: I got a vmware virtual machine running Vista 32 bit (on top of 64 bit system) to recognize my printer attached to my laptop running XP. This works great. You can set up shared folders as well so that when you work on your files on x64, all you have to do is click on your virtual machine and PRINT away !!!!!!!!! If anyone wants help with their printer, I'd be glad to assist.  from: http://www.vistax64.com/drivers/158733-workaround-expensive-toshiba-e-studio-150-vista-x64.html

NOTE.
Alternatively  your could run XP in your cranky winx-8:

or use a free virtual machine software instead of paying for vmware!
