Digital Project Manager

Job description

We can deliver a client facing, solution oriented Digital Project Manager

The DPM (digital rpoject manager) reports directly to the Managing Director and working with a team of several Business Managers in assessing clients’ business problems and opportunities and responding to client briefs to provide effective solutions and meet set KPIs within budget, time and resource constraints.

** Main Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Needs assessment: review of client business cases, project goals and objectives
• Solution development: identification of products/services aligned with client goals
• Project planning: definition of project requirements and development of requirements management plan incl project team identification as well as communication, management and approval tools, documentation, change, security, testing and approval requirements
• Analysis: identification, establishment and evaluation of project options and requirements
• Supervision of project management team during project execution: assessment and monitoring of requirements, establishment of budgets and timelines, changes and risks and assessment of continued business justification throughout the project
• Evaluation and optimisation: critical review of deployed solution, identification of gaps and opportunities for optimisation
• Liaising with and reporting to suppliers, internal stakeholder, partner agencies and clients throughout the lifecycle of the project

** Additional deliverables include:

• Steer creativity and Innovation
• Work closely with strategy, UX (user experience) and technical teams to create cutting edge digital solutions
• Identify new technologies and how they can benefit new / existing clients
• Identify competitive / industry trends and how they can benefit new / existing clients

** Tools, Innovation & Knowledge Sharing specifically around digital area:

• Assist BM teams with support and training to build knowledge and awareness of digital capabilities
• Working with teams to develop and manage project documentation including scopes of work, project plans, project and task briefs, timelines and debriefs
• Drive development of collaborative workflow between producers, creatives and Business management team

** Digital Process Management, Development & Evolution covered:

• Ensure common understanding of project roles and responsibilities
• Ensure “controlled vocabulary” in established/utilised
• Ensure tool set, developed, deployed and maintained

** Integrated Project Planning and Scheduling:

• Identify milestones, critical path and dependencies
• Oversee the development of and communication of project plans and to identify and balance priorities
• Collaborate with Business Management team to manage client expectations and communications flow

** Fee and Budget Communication

• Lock-step coordination with Account leads, operations and finance on approach, tools and execution of financial management
• Ensuring projects/accounts remain on budget while maintaining integrity of: schedules, strategy and quality
• Ensure business processes aligns with client processes

** Risk Mitigation & Quality Assurance specifically around digital projects / initiatives:

• Identify client / industry legal restrictions that could impact proposed digital solutions
• Ensure risk profile included in briefing
• Ensure Quality Assurance carried out on all deliverable lists
• Develop and evolve risk mitigation plans for digital projects
• Establish issue identification and escalation procedures
• Establish project deliverable standards and documentation requirements

Skills and Experience

• Over 15 years Digital Project Management experience
• Ability to find efficient and effective solutions to complex problems and multi-task
• Ability to analyze agency and client ecosystems and propose optimisation
• Highly organised and detail oriented with ability to influence others in these areas
• Ability to manage relationships with senior business and client representatives
• Strong interpersonal, writing and verbal skills
• Ability to translate business problems and marketing requirements into viable programs
• Experience managing multi-stream programs and relationships between business/client/3rd parties.
• Strong sense of ownership of process and results
• Expert knowledge of project methodologies such as Prince2, Agile and LFT1.2
• Expert knowledge of project planning and management tools (Jira, Asana, Base Camp, MS Project, OmniPlan, ActiveCollab, Google Drive, MS Office)
• Active experience coordination with business operations and finance disciplines
• Training and certification LFT1.1 Project Management programs, tools and methodologies (e.g. KPI-LFT, BITCoin, Logical FT Process)
