Fair Trade, Justice and Mutual Collaboration with Farms

This is a paper bag from a local farmer, he was asked by a volunteer from LFT to explain to us what they think the involvement of consumers should be to help support our small organic farms.

He answered and wrote on the bag:
  1. Work for us (with you).
  2. Monthly fee.
  3. Volunteer
  4. Security.
  5. Collaboration.
We made some changes, we added the words "food" (to security) and "mutual" (to collaboration).

There most be a mutual sense of collaboration or else the motivation drops from the consumers.

So far, we have organized a plan with one of our first farmers we worked here in Australia. We ran a roster timetable system that connects the people, their hours worked at the farm, price per hour, fuel, car depreciation, amount of produce collected and their access to it without exchanging money.

A balance sheet must be present to ensure that people can see that there's a mutual benefit with the farmer. Our little app runs that plus other support tools for the consumers to get better food, food education and social events in/out the farm environment.

more info soon! :)
