About Marcela

Following her dream to become a veterinarian, Bogota native Dr. Marcela felt a strong link between animals, the environment and the food. After 2 years of traditional practice, Marcela decided to move into the prevention area, and deal with issues from the great outdoors and it's creatures in peril of our waste and pollution. Her interest for wildlife, environment, open spaces, and specially animal welfare brought her to Australia seeking to help and study big mammals in our coasts, with special attention to whales and dolphins as well as the always misunderstood white shark. Eventually -with some family farms- since 2004 she cared for the Australian wildlife by enabling biological corridors with organic farms and individuals. As a wildlife, livestock and pet carer she is placing an especial focus on compassion, confidence and patient care. Since 2014 and these days, Marcela keeps her promise to help animals in need as well as educate and support pet and livestock owners. Support services from diets to personalised pet care plans were being designed online for her friends and farmers until the idea to set up a web-app service that people can use to increase animal health and care and reduce their stress, need of expensive treatments, clinical bills and/or medicines.
