Whacking Trafficking - a genome hack

 

Human Trafficking - is only force a realistic solution?: Even when the film Sound of Freedom gives a big boost to this issue, for some of us who have tried to save children and women from human trafficking in the past, we sadly found that:

1. families facing poverty will resell their saved children,
2. rescued children, women or men will fall back to human trafficking if support is not available,
3. the cycle where these people are taken continue, and
4. this cycle won't stop by having a powerful civil army rescuing people.

What needs to be done:

1. More education: about those issues,
2. Creation of solutions: linked with case managers (not a generic project),
3. Drive people out of poverty: because if that is NOT addressed trafficking still occurs..
4. Set up supporting networks of self-sustainability to fund and connect with local solutions.
