17 October Forum

Please read through this email from Peter Arndt and let me know if you
can attend and what role you can play on that day.



Thanks for coming to the Mass and the launch on Sunday. The Archbishop
spoke powerfully and it was a wonderful experience.



As I previously advised, we are working with our Bulimba Parish Social
Justice Committee to put on a forum on Saturday 17 October, 8.30 AM -
3.30 PM, at the Bulimba Parish Hall. I'm just checking to confirm what
you and RAL can offer.



The organisers have 4 speakers in the morning (Susan Harris Rimmer,
Bruce Wells, Rebecca Lim and me). This will be followed by a 1 hour Q &
A with the speakers + reps from all the settlement agencies.



What we are asking for is:

* Print and other material from your organisation to be on display and
someone to answer questions

* Someone to represent your organisation on the Q & A panel

*If possible, some refugees who could mingle with people and talk
individually and in workshop groups informally, not as an expert, but as
a participant

*A rep who could participate in the workshop groups



The organiser is keen to know how many people from your organisation are
coming so she can cater for you. All others BYO lunch, but they will
cater for special guests.



Attached is the 17 October invitation and also a program. Please note
the program says the St James Coorparoo Parish is running this. My
admin made a little mistake when she did a cut and paste job. It's
definitely Bulimba!
