Turn USB tethering on or off
- Using a USB cable, connect your phone or tablet to another device.
- You'll see a USB icon and a notification ("Connected as a
media device" or "Connected as a camera") at the top of the screen. For
tethering, the connection type doesn't matter. - Open your device's Settings app
.
- Under "Wireless & networks," tap More
Tethering & portable hotspot.
- Tap USB tethering to switch it on or off. To turn it off, you can also just disconnect the USB cable.
