Biocybernetics for Aged Care and Disability Care.

Description: We all now that there are many relevant issues that connect people with environmental variables. In our studies, we have found evidence of certain days, hours, cycles and seasons when people in Aged Care Facilities experience a hike of illnesses, bedroom calls or even appetite drop of residents.

Usage: If we use the biocybernetics potential of the surrounding environment and variables of individual needs, then you can improve support mechanisms to empower individual become more independent, following their goals, special needs and wishes.

Corporate benefits: Supporting staff to improve performance, motivation, loyalty and efficiency creating a whole new sustainable economic development with mutually including benefits, responsibilities and rewards.

We are using a web-app to: Support families, individuals and carers support better the plans for people with disabilities and/or the elderly. (Corporate: boost the business development by investing in new tools and reaching new markets).

Some of the areas we support are: Biorhythms, psychological management, engagement, motivation, health & safety, social interactions, personal goals management and others. (Corporate and Business tools are available too).

The web-app aims to: Prevent & manage dementia and/or chronic diseases impacts in people, enable education, create support funds for carers that care and are members of the system, enable local and international exchanges and events as well as education programs for individuals, families, carers and students of university and technical level.

Fees: elder plans from $45 /month, disability from $35, students from $55 /month, business from $150 /fortnight, individuals from $25 /month (prevention plans).

Relevant terminology:
  1. Personal centered care: is a way of thinking and doing things that sees the people using health and social services as equal partners in planning, developing and monitoring care to make sure it meets their needs.
  2. Biocybernetics is the application of cybernetics to biological science, composed of biological disciplines that benefit from the application of cybernetics including neurology and multicellular systems.
  3. Cybernetics is a transdisciplinary approach for exploring regulatory systems—their structures, constraints, and possibilities. Norbert Wiener defined cybernetics in 1948 as "the scientific study of control and communication in the animal and the machine." In the 21st century, the term is often used in a rather loose way to imply "control of any system using technology." In other words, it is the scientific study of how humans, animals and machines control and communicate with each other.
